What is Bluetme?

Bluetme™ is an instant messaging app allowing you to send a message real-time to a person you have just spotted and you don't know yet! It is the first instant messaging app that can work solely on bluetooth platform, i.e. without the Internet connection or wi-fi.

Why was Bluetme app developed?

Feel awkward to contact a new people? Bluetme is the right app for you. You can contact the people around you, start a new chat with the other users of Bluetme in your proximity and with active status. Looking for a date or a new friend? Install the app, go out and start exploring :)

Initially you can see and you are visible to all users within 60 miles distance.

You can use Bluetme practically everywhere – restaurant, school, airport, plane, bus, concert, club, on vacation etc. The unique feature is a default bluetooth interface so that you can easily communicate with people without active data plan.

How does Bluetme application work?

Bluetme™ is an unique free app, allowing instant messaging, sharing files and emoticons through bluetooth and wi-fi/data interface. Bluetooth is a default interface for communication, in case of the absence of bluetooth signal you may opt for wi-fi/data connection.

You can contact the people around you, start a new chat with the other users of Bluetme in your proximity and with active status.

You can use Bluetme practically everywhere – restaurant, school, airport, plane, bus, concert, club, on vacation etc. The unique feature is a default bluetooth interface so that you can easily communicate with people without active data tariff. The Bluetme users in your proximity will appear in your Bluetme scan, you can add them into your Bluetme contact list simply be sending the Bluet. Bluet in Bluetme means you want to become a friend or find a person attractive and you wish to start a new chat.

Once you install the app, upload your profile photo, create your nickname and then complete your registration by entering the activation code that you have received via sms. As an active user you can start using the app and your Bluetme scan becomes active. Once you are in the proximity of another Bluetme user you can see that user on your Bluetme scan. You can see user´s nickname and profile photo and then check who is who in a real world. That is the first instant messaging app allowing you to send a message real-time to a person you have just spotted and you don't know yet.

And that´s not all. You can see in your daily history of Bluetme scan the Bluetme users you have had in your proximity during the day. You can send them your Bluet later on and wait for thein reaction once they are logged on to Bluetme. Test yourself and see how many people out there wish to send you a Bluet and have a chat with you. Check out how you stack up against your friends.

What is Bluet?

Bluet in Bluetme means you want to become a friend or find a person attractive and you wish to start a new chat.

What is BluetCards?

BluetCard is an userˈs card created during registration that is visible to other users in his/her proximity (the users with Bluetme app switched on are visible to other users).

Why am I not allowed to user my name and surname in Bluetme app?

We do care about privacy protection of our users, therefore their names and surnames are not disclosed to other users.

I am a celebrity/publicly known person. How can I contact you?

Celebrities/V.I.P. are entitled to special benefits but must be verified by us beforehand. If you are a celebrity contact us via email celebrity@bluetme.com.

What is a question mark in the left bottom of the app?

Question mark in circle represents QUICK HELP related to a page where you are. It can be switched off.

How can I contact Incoming contact?

You can contact a user in your Incoming list by sending them a Bluet. Such a user will appear in your Contact list but you can start chat only after they reply you via a Bluet.

What range does Bluetme app have?

The visibility of Bluetme users normally is to be some 160 feet (50 meters). Currently you can see and are visible to all users within 60 miles (100 km) distance until the app is widely spread.

Why my account has been blocked?

We may, at our discretion, block a user who sends offensive or incorrect messages or if a userˈs Nickname is a real name and surname.

Why is Bluetme app anonymous?

We do care about privacy protection of our users, therefore we do not disclose usersˈ real names to other users.

Is my phone number visible to others?

Your phone number is hidden to other users (default setting) but you can manually permit it to a selected user by tapping on „can see my phone“.

Can I call somebody via Bluetme app?

Your phone number is hidden to other users (default setting) but you can manually permit it to a selected user by tapping on „can see my phone“ and then you can initiate the call through your carrier.

How long does a new contact stay in Incoming contacts?

A new contact stays in Incoming contacts for 12 hours and then (if no action performed) is automatically deleted.

Can I change the wallpaper in the application?

Not until the next update.

Can I change my Nickname?

Not until the next update.

Can I send my chat via email?

Yes, you can send to any email you wish, in the chat menu choose „Send to email“.

How does the shop work?

The shop is currently under development, we will notify you once it is launched.

What will happen if I forget my Nickname?

Contact us via lostnick@bluetme.com . Note that a forgotten Nickname can be sent only to a phone number that was given during the registration.

Is it possible to lock Bluetme application?

Yes, you can set PIN in SETTINGS menu.

What to do if somebody is stalking me?

If somebody is stalking you you can shift them in your Stalking list (to get rid of instrusive communication). You can also get back a user from Stalking list to Contact list or delete by shifting to Bin (deleted user will again appear in the Incoming list on the next encounter). In case of further problems contact us via the appˈs section „Report a problem“.
